As a professional athlete, I spend a lot of time in the car between training, races and sponsorship appointments. That’s why it’s important for me to have a vehicle that’s not only comfortable, but also really fits into my everyday life.
I’ll be driving an Audi Q6 e-tron from Clyde for the next six months with a flexible car subscription that can be taken out for one month, up to 48 months. I’ve been driving an Audi Q6 e-tron from Clyde Mobility for a few weeks now and use it for training, racing and travelling across Switzerland and to nearby countries.

A towing device is essential
There is one point that is particularly important for me, and I specifically selected it with the equipment filter on the Clyde website: the towing device.
I travel with my bike almost every weekend, which is why I need my rear carrier for my racing bike, mountain bike or eMTB. That’s exactly where the Audi Q6 e-tron is perfect for my everyday life. I can just load my bike and equipment and head to training or racing.

Plenty of space and comfort for long journeys
Wheels, tools, recovery equipment, bags and spare parts – the car is often fully loaded, especially on race weekends. The Audi Q6 e-tron offers plenty of space for this and storage is very practical.
Even with its large interior, the car is still very comfortable to drive and does not look unnecessarily large or heavy. In addition, it is still possible to bring other people in the back seat.
Electric cars in real life
Viele fragen mich immer noch, ob ein Elektroauto wirklich zu einem Alltag mit vielen Reisen passt. Für mich funktioniert es mittlerweile überraschend einfach.
At home, I charge my car with 11 kW using my wallbox. This recharges the car overnight so it is ready for the next training day or journey, which is very convenient in day-to-day life.
When I am on the road, the fast-charging performance is very exciting. The Audi Q6 e-tron can charge with up to 270 kW. I can charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 21 minutes at a fast-charging station. Just enough time for a coffee, some food or a short break on my way to the race.
Range and battery
The Audi Q6 e-tron has a 100-kWh battery. This provides a great deal of security, especially for longer journeys to races or training camps.
Depending on the driving style and conditions, it easily manages ranges of over 500 kilometres. In my day-to-day life, this means that when I travel within Switzerland or to nearby countries, I don’t have to think about charging all the time.
Another thing I find exciting is that the car recovers energy when braking or rolling through recuperation. This is especially obvious in Switzerland with its many mountains.
Why the Clyde electric car subscription is a good fit for my day-to-day life
As a sportsperson, every day is different, and I can always drive the right car for every imaginable life situation. That’s why I really like the Clyde concept.

My initial conclusion
After the first few weeks, the Audi Q6 e-tron from Clyde is very well-suited to my everyday life as a professional athlete.
Plenty of space, a long range, fast charging and, above all, the ability to use my bike carrier with the towing device, make the car the perfect solution for training and racing.
What I appreciate most is that Clyde takes care of everything. This allows me to focus on cycling instead of spending time on insurance, service and other organisational matters.
